Front-load machine had developed a heavy thump every spin, loud enough to hear from the kitchen. Turned out to be worn suspension springs, both replaced together and it runs smooth now.
Not spinning, filling wrong, or shaking the floor mid-cycle, most washer problems trace back to one specific worn part. We track it down and get it running again, often the same visit.
Pick what your washer is doing below and we'll tell you what's usually behind it.
Washer Won't Spin
Drum agitates fine but the spin cycle just never kicks in, leaving everything soaked. Nine times out of ten it's a lid or door switch that isn't registering as latched.
Leaking From The Base
A small pool forming underneath partway through the wash. On front-load machines this is almost always the rubber door boot, worn thin or torn at one fold.
Washer Won't Fill
Tub stays bone dry no matter how long you wait after pressing start. Usually the inlet valve has stuck closed, sometimes it's just a kinked hose behind the machine.
Shaking Hard On Spin
Feels like the whole machine is trying to walk across the floor during spin. Suspension springs or shocks wear out over the years and stop absorbing the movement.
Deep Banging Noise
A heavy thud on every rotation that gradually gets worse week to week. This pattern almost always points to a drum bearing wearing down internally.
Stops Mid-Cycle
Cycle halts partway through and throws an error code on the display. Usually a water-level sensor sending the board bad readings, triggering a needless safety stop.
